I’m super excited to announce that starting today, all DistroKid artists can add an artist photo to Apple Music and iTunes.

Your artist photo is the big pic that appears alongside your music, and in searches & more. With DistroKid, you can instantly upload a new photo (usually takes around 24 hours for your new photo to propagate through Apple’s system once it’s been updated. So it’s kinda instant, kinda not, but you know what I mean).

To update your artist photo, visit:
https://distrokid.com/appleArtistImage

Note that pics need to be square, relatively high-resolution (2400 x 2400 pixels), and adhere to Apple’s excellent design template. This ensures that your pic looks good square, rectangular, as a circle, and any other way it may be shown.

More info is on the upload page. So go there, now!

This is totally free for all DistroKid artists — and available right now.

If you use a different distributor and want to update your Apple artist image, now is a good time to switch to DistroKid. Info on moving your music to DistroKid is here.

Thanks for reading,
Philip from DistroKid
